Anne Hauss

Anne Hauss, 84, passed away Friday June 26, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut the daughter of the late Thomas and Anne (Robinson) Fennelly. Anne grew up in Hamden, Connecticut. She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital Nursing School in Paterson, NJ. Anne worked at St. Joseph's Hospital as a nursing supervisor in the maternity unit. All of her six children were born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ. She would always travel back to St. Joseph's for the birth of her children no matter where she was living, including traveling from Spokane, Washington. Anne lived in a number of states before settling in Somerset, NJ where she has lived for the past 49 years. She also worked at King James Nursing Home in Somerset, NJ as a nursing supervisor for 19 years before retiring. Anne enjoyed taking vacations at Popponesset Beach in Cape Cod and eventually purchased a cottage there. She loved the beach and shopping with her family while on the Cape. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be sadly missed. Anne was an active member of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, NJ where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Lazarus Society. She is survived by her husband of 56 years John Hauss of Somerset, NJ, her three sons Thomas Hauss and his wife Mary Rose of Somerset, NJ, John Hauss and his wife Donna of Somerset, NJ and Michael Hauss of Somerset, NJ, her three daughters Anne Hauss of Miller Place, NY, Mary Ellen Lehman and her husband Ken of Somerset, NJ and Judy Ketusky and her husband Joseph of Hillsborough, NJ and her dear sister Judy Fennelly of Hamden, Connecticut. She is also survived by her 14 cherished grandchildren. The viewing will be on Monday June 29, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ.
