Frances K. Viola

Frances Kisaday Viola, 91, passed away peacefully at New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born in Manville, NJ on January 29, 1932, to the late Frank and Anna Kisaday. Frances graduated from Bound Brook High School. She married her husband, Peter Viola, on November 11, 1951. They resided in Manville, where they raised two sons, Barry Viola, D.D.S. and Jeffrey Viola, M.S. They were married for over sixty-five years, until Peter’s death in 2017. Frances was initially employed by Middlesex Oilless Bearings for 10 years as an Executive Secretary. She then embarked on a forty-year career at Ethicon, Inc. in Bridgewater, NJ, where she became an Executive Administrative Assistant. After her retirement, she enjoyed meeting with her former work friends. She remained friends with many of her High School classmates and attended almost every reunion to continue and enhance those relationships. She developed close relationships with friends and family members who were devoted to the very end. She particularly enjoyed travelling to casinos in Atlantic City, NJ and Bethlehem, PA to test her luck at the slot machines. There were triumphant stories of winning trips, and pointed silences when she was not successful. She will be remembered as a loving relative and friend who gave unstintingly of herself, and who shared her remarkable crocheted Afghans and, especially baby clothes, which will be cherished memories long after the recipients are grown. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Anna Kisaday, her sister, Beatrice Fatto, and her husband Peter Viola. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Barry Viola of Manville, NJ, and Jeffrey Viola and his wife, Bonnie Kass-Viola, of Manalapan, NJ. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Adrienne Viola, M.D. and her husband, Stephen Wallis, and her cherished great- grandson, Caeden Wallis, of Dedham, MA. The viewing will be on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ 08835. Viewing will also take place on Friday May 26, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and will be followed by a 9:00 AM Funeral Service at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ.
