June F. Martz June 3, 1925-December 17, 2022 June F. Martz, born in Pottsville, PA to the late Norman, Sr. and Stella (Keeney) Kline, passed peacefully at age 97, at home, to join her beloved husband in Heaven, Augustus (Gus) who predeceased her in 2013. Second oldest of eleven children, she is predeceased by brothers Robert, Ronnie and Norman, Jr. She is survived by siblings Esther, Margaret, Carol, Dick, John, Irvie and Billy.June was graduate of Pottsville High School. Having married the “boy next door” on June 7th, 1946, their journey through life began. They moved into Gus’s parents’ home in Roselle, NJ, then to a two-family in Garwood, NJ where they started their family. They came to Manville, NJ in 1956 to a brand new home in the Weston section, and then in 1967, moved into another brand new home in Weston which Gus helped to design and remained until their deaths. It is still the “family” home. June was a homemaker and working woman having worked in RCA, Ortho, Baker and Taylor, just to name a few, and lastly Carrier Clinic, retiring at 65, so she and Gus had many years of enjoying their retirement together. She became an avid golf fan, along with Gus, always cheering on her favorite golfer, Tiger Woods which would lead into a spirited disagreement between the two of them. For many years she was very involved with the Congregational Church in Bound Brook, raising her two daughters in the Christian faith. June was a real showgirl, singing and performing onstage with the Sweet Adelines Barbershop harmony group. She loved to lead the family in song, especially “Happy Birthday”. She loved her daily crossword puzzles, too. Predeceased, also, by her much loved son-in-law, Michael Aguilar and Brian Kesolitz, grandson-in-law. Survivors include daughters: Marilyn Martz and Joanne Aguilar, grandchildren: Tiffany Kesolitz, Cory Valis, Brielle Brown, Aja Aguilar (Elton Marques), Ryan Aguilar (MaryEllen Gore), great grandchildren: Kathryn Valis-Hale, Michael S. Sommers, Amber Kesolitz, Tyler Kesolitz, Michaela Brown, Ava Brown, Arlo Aguilar. June decided it was time to go have an “afternoon cocktail” with her favorite golf-watching buddy (Gus). They are now happily reunited for eternity. In lieu of flowers, please donate in June’s name to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 or Somerset Regional Animal Shelter, 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 or any other charity of your choice. Viewing will be held at Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday December 26, 2022 from 1pm-4pm. There will be a brief Christian service at 3:30pm. Burial will be private. A special thank you to our three “angels here on Earth”, Norma, MiMi and Katie who took such kind and wonderful care of “Miss June”.
