Patricia Ann Caporaso

Patricia Ann Caporaso, 90, of Manville New Jersey passed away peacefully with her family at her side on November 16, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset. Patricia was born in Brooklyn New York on May 26, 1933 to the late Alduino and Frances Canessa. She grew up in Brooklyn before moving to Millstone, New Jersey and then settling in Manville New Jersey where she resided for the last 60 years. Patricia worked at Ethicon, a Johnson and Johnson Company in Bridgewater New Jersey for 33 years. After retirement, Patricia was an active member of the J&J retirees club and served as both secretary and vice president. Patricia was preceded in death by her daughters Debra Caporaso SanGiovanni, Patricia Caporaso Demshock, her sisters Laura Canessa Curry, Mary Canessa Chimera, Della Canessa Weaver and her ex-husband Joseph Caporaso. Patricia is survived by her daughters Donna Caporaso Hoagland, Frances (Cookie) Caporaso DeSesso, JoAnn Caporaso Baker and son-in -law Joseph Baker. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Canessa and brother Dewy Canessa. Patricia leaves behind a large family including her 12 grandchildren: Renee and Samuel Hambrick, Joseph Schoberl and Michael SanGiovanni, Heather Hoagland Newland, Kristina Demshock Thetford, Michael and Mathew Demshock, Ryan DeSesso and Justin, Zachary and Bryan Baker; as well as 10 great grandchildren: Brittany and Brooke Hoodja, Timothy and Travis Thetford, Lily and Maggie San Giovanni, Michael Newland Jr. and Hannah Demshock. She also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Patricia was the loving Matriarch that held her family together. She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family creating many wonderful lasting memories with them. She was the absolute best mother, grandmother and great grandmother to every one of her family and her greatest characteristic was her gift of true, unconditional love. She will be greatly missed. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 10 am at the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by interment of the cremains at St. Bernards Roman Catholic Cemetary in Bridgewater, NJ.
