Richard Burket, 69, of Manville passed away on March 31, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Kowal, his stepdaughter Lisa Figel and her husband Frank, his stepdaughter Laurie Hance and husband Bill, and two grandchildren Addison Figel and Chloe Hance. He was, at heart, a true car enthusiast. Whether under the hood, behind the wheel, or simply admiring the lines of a well-crafted machine, he found joy in the details. He especially loved attending antique car shows, where he could spend hours appreciating classic craftsmanship, sharing stories, and connecting with others who shared his passion. Cars weren’t just a hobby—they were a language he spoke fluently, a way he connected with others, and a reflection of his appreciation for craftsmanship and freedom. He also found great fulfillment in working with his hands. Through woodworking and painting, he expressed a quiet creativity that spoke volumes. Whether shaping a piece of wood into something lasting or bringing color and life to a blank canvas, he took pride in creating things that others could enjoy. These weren’t just pastimes—they were extensions of his patience, his skill, and his desire to leave something meaningful behind. But far more important than anything was the love he gave so freely. As a husband, he was steady, loyal, and deeply caring—the kind of partner who showed up every day, in both the big moments and the quiet ones. His love was constant, a foundation that never wavered. As a stepdad, he embraced his role with warmth and generosity, offering guidance, laughter, and support without hesitation. To those who called him PopPop, he was pure magic always making ordinary days feel special. His love for his grandchildren was boundless and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever. He lived fully, loved deeply, and leaves behind a legacy built not on grand gestures, but on everyday moments of care, humor, and connection. Though he may no longer be with us, the echoes of his laughter, the lessons he shared and the love he gave will continue to guide and comfort those who knew him. Visitation will be at Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 2 to 5 PM.
