Richard D. Mupo Sr.

Richard D. Mupo, Sr., 76 passed away peacefully on Thursday November 20, 2014 at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater, NJ with his loving family by his side. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ the son of Mary and the late John Mupo. He was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 53 years. Mr. Mupo served his Country Honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in the facilities department at Rutgers University and then the National Starch Corporation for many years. Mr. Mupo also taught HVAC classes at the Somerset County Vocational and Technical School in the adult continuing education department for 20 years. He then worked for Somerset County in the facilities department. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in New Brunswick, NJ and the American Legion in Manville, NJ. Mr. Mupo was an avid antiquer and collector of militaria. He enjoyed western movies and country music. He loved to travel and enjoyed trips to the casinos. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his first wife of 41 years Norma Jean Mupo in 2004. He is survived by his wife Sandra Mupo of Manville, NJ, his mother Mary Mupo of Somerset, NJ, his son Richard Mupo, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Washington Boro, NJ, his daughters Carol Cigler and her husband Mike of Hillsborough, NJ, Christine Snell and her husband Wayne of Flemington, NJ, and Karen Truppi and her husband Antony of Whitehouse Station, NJ., his brother John Mupo and his wife Phyllis of North Brunswick, NJ and also by his 9 grandchildren Michael, Kristina, Gabriella, Alessandro, Elizabeth, Joseph, Christopher, Karissa and Wayne, Jr.. He is also survived by a step-son Russell Edsoren and his wife Melissa of Easton, Pa, a step-daughter Lara Lecato and her husband Robert of Roebling, NJ and 7 step-grandchildren Brittany, Cheyanne, Zachery, Tony, Trevor, Callie and Nikki. The viewing will be on Monday November 24, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. A viewing will also take place on Tuesday November 25, 2014 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Service which will be conducted at the Funeral Home.
