Edward Joseph Kotarski

Edward Joseph Kotarski, 83 died Friday April 15, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ the son of the late Peter Paul and Edna Kotarsky. He was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 55 years. Mr. Kotarski served his Country Honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He served in the HQ Company 2nd Battalion 35th Infantry and received the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service in Somerville, NJ for many years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh V.F.W. Post #2290 in Manville, NJ. Mr. Kotarski was a member of Christ The King Roman Catholic Church in Manville, NJ. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Kotarsky. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Antoinette Y. Kotarski of Manville, NJ, his beloved son Matthew Paul Kotarski and his wife Michele of Succasunna, NJ, his four dear grandchildren Mark Andreychik and his fiancee Lauren Yeager, Michael Andreychik, Michael Sobczak and Lauren Betts and her husband Drew, his cherished great grandchildren Todd Michael Betts and Alyse Elizabeth Betts. He is also survived by his brother-in-laws Salvatore Balsamo and Vincent Balsamo and sister-in-laws Debra Balsamo, Elizabeth Egers and Rosalie Kotarsky. The viewing will be on Sunday April 17, 2011 from 3 to 6 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. Burial will be private.
