Jean M. Farneski, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Morristown, NJ the daughter of the late Michael and Emma Ferrante of Bernardsville, NJ. Mrs. Farneski was a resident of Manville, NJ for 43 years before moving to Bridgewater, NJ in 2003. She owned and operated her own costume and novelty business,Trifles and Treasures, for nearly 40 years with locations in, Bernardsville, Roselle Park and Somerville. Mrs. Farneski was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who was fiercely loyal to, and proud of, her family. She traveled through Europe, South and Central America with her family, and often throughout Alaska to visit her son, Robert Jr. Mrs. Farneski was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church ( Christ the Redeemer Parish) in Manville, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband Robert B. Farneski in 2014. One of nine children, she was predeceased by her sisters Shirley Bulaskas and Joyce Cusic, of Margate, Florida. She is survived by her two daughters Anna Farneski and her partner Jennifer Haby of Branchburg, NJ and Helen Farneski-Seiwell and her husband Patrick of Hillsborough, NJ, by her son Robert Farneski, Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska, by her sisters Anna Budesheim and her husband George of Malta, NY, Linda Pavao and her husband Al of Warren, NJ, by her brothers Michael Ferrante of Bernardsville, NJ, Alfonse Ferrante of Bernardsville, NJ, Anthony Ferrante and his wife Cheryl of Bernardsville, NJ and by Julio Ferrante and his wife June of Phillipsburg, NJ and by a sister-in-law Arlene Spohrer and her husband George of Manchester, NJ. She is also survived by her two cherished grandchildren Patrick Seiwell, Jr. and Emma Jean Seiwell. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. Services were private.
