Josephine Lombardi

January 24, 1926 - April 7, 2013

Josephine Lombardi, 87 died peacefully on Sunday April 7, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ with her loving family by her side. She was born in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Peter and Teresa Amato. Mrs. Lombardi was a resident of North Bergen, NJ for many years before moving to Toms River, NJ 27 years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three grandsons. Mrs. Lombardi was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles. She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick F. Lombardi who passed away in 2009. She is survived by her loving son Patrick J. Lombardi and his wife Tina of Hillsborough, NJ and by her three cherished grandsons Patrick A. Lombardi, Christopher Lombardi and Anthony Lombardi. She is also survived by a sister Frances Amato of Brooklyn, NY and by a brother Frank Amato also of Brooklyn, NY. The viewing will be on Tuesday April 9, 2013 from 7 to 9 PM and on Wednesday April 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ.(908)575-8512. The Funeral will be on Thursday April 11, 2013 9:00 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Christ The King Roman Catholic Church in Manville, NJ. Entombement will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery and Mausoleum, 56-80 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ.
