Mary Kroener, 94, passed away at the home of her daughter Kathy and son-in-law Mike on Friday, April 9th surrounded by her family. Mary was born at home in South Plainfield, NJ on March 5th, 1927. She worked in a defense plant during WWII and also Baker and Taylor in Somerville, NJ for many years.She played an integral role in building and supporting her husband Ralph’s business (North Branch Drywall) while raising seven daughters. Mary was blessed with a loving family. She raised seven daughters with patience, discipline and humility. She enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey shore with her family. Mary was kind, soft spoken and elegant. She always had a smile for everyone She loved playing Bingo, collecting dolls, cookie jars and attending garage sales on the weekends with her daughters. There was no greater love for Mary than her family. She will be deeply missed by all. She is predeceased by her parents Clement and Helen (Jaskulski) Naples, her first husband Francis Colangelo, by her daughter Frances Colangelo, by her second husband Ralph Kroener, by her two sisters Rose Tramantano and Theresa Constantian, by two brothers Rudolph Naples (Margaret Naples) and Clement Naples (Claire Naples), by a grandson Francis Lohman, by a granddaughter Melissa Bettinsoli and by two son-in-laws Clifford Darby and Richard Lohman. She is survived by six daughters and their families. Helen Darby of High Bridge, NJ (Clifford, Jeff and his husband Dennis), Nancy Colangelo of Unadilla, New York (Willo Lohman), Billee Vides and her husband Anthony of Somerville, NJ (Marleen, Michael (Emily), Anthony, Matthew, Kayla and Vincent), Bonnie Bettinsoli and her husband Bruno of New Providence, Pennsylvania ( Daniella Maria, Anthony and his wife Amity), Kathy Michalski and her husband Michael of Manville, NJ (Joshua, Jesse and Ashley), Kimberly Mastronardi and her husband Ron of Readington, NJ (Dylan and Brandon), and by a brother Daniel Naples, Sr. and his wife Joann of Boca Raton, Florida. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. The viewing will be on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing. The Funeral and Burial will be private. Due to COVID-19 Executive Orders in place by the Governor of New Jersey everyone must wear a face mask and the capacity is 50% at the Funeral Home. If you are feeling sick or have a temperature, please do not attend for the safety of the family and their guests. Also because of COVID restrictions it is the families wish that everyone keep their visits brief.
