    Mary (Maye) P. Manuell

    September 2, 1928 - June 9, 2012

    Mary (Maye) P. Manuell, 83 died Saturday June 9, 2012 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Jessup, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late John and Eva Nagurney. She was a resident of Bridgewater, NJ for the past 43 years. Mrs. Manuell worked as a nurse anesthetist at the Carrier Foundation in Belle Mead, NJ for many years before retiring. She was a volunteer with the Somerset Valley Visiting Nurses and a member of the Bridgewater Seniors Organization. She enjoyed playing bridge. She loved knitting for her family and friends. Mrs. Manuell was a very active member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ. She was a member of the Church Choir and worked at bingo and at the ethnic food dinners at the Church. She was predeceased by her husband William Manuell in 1970. She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Nakamura and her husband Kozo of Japan, Nancy Porrovecchio and her husband Christopher of Kendall Park, NJ, Emily Peterson and her husband Kenneth of Kendall Park, NJ, her sons William Manuell of New Hampshire, Paul Manuell of Pennsylvania, Gerald Manuel and his wife Frances of Portland, Oregon, and a sister Helen Korzemba of Manalapan, NJ. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren Toshio Nakamura and his wife Miho, Adam, Daniel, Caroline and Regina Porrovecchio, Julianne and Matthew Peterson and Kaitlin and Elizabeth Manuell. The viewing will be on Thursday June 14, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ.(908)575-8512. The Parastas will take place at 7:30 PM during the evening viewing. The Funeral will be on Friday June 15, 2012 9:00 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home to be followed by a 10:00 AM Divine Liturgy at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to: St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 1900 Brooks Blvd., Hillsborough, NJ 08844 or to the charity of your choice.
