Onofrio Barbuto Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Onofrio Barbuto, 83 passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Sant' Onofrio, Calabria, Italy the son of the late Antonio and Maria Giovanna Barbuto. He was a resident of Somerset, NJ for the past 4 years. Prior to that he lived in Hillsborough, NJ for 44 years. Mr. Barbuto worked for the Mack truck Corporation in Bridgewater, NJ for many years. He then worked for Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ for 13 years before retiring. Mr. Barbuto was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a hardworking man who loved spending time with his family. Mr. Barbuto was an avid gardener, enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and loved Cadillacs. He was a longtime member of Mary Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ. He was predeceased by his brother Pasquale Barbuto and by his sisters Rosa Greco and Ursula Barbuto. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Antonina Barbuto of Somerset, NJ, his daughter Joanne Seidman and her husband Mitch of Somerset, NJ and by his two sons Antonio Barbuto and his wife Michele of North Port, Florida and Joseph Barbuto of Morristown, NJ. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Melissa Winters, Rachel Seidman, Brandon Barbuto, Erica Barbuto and Joseph Barbuto and by his great-grandson Mason Antonio Winters. The viewing will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. The Funeral will be on Thursday October 5, 2017 8:30 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the American Kidney Foundation.
