Robert L. Sutton

Robert L. Sutton, 74 died Saturday September 10, 2011 at Raritan Health and Extended Care in Raritan, NJ. He was born in Ashland, Pennsylvania the son of the late Harold and Mary Sutton. He was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 51 years. He served his Country in the United States Navy. Mr. Sutton worked as a pipefitter for the Johns Manville Corporation in Manville, NJ for 29 years. He was also a member of the Johns Manville Quarter Century Club. He then worked in operations at the Somerset County Recycling Center in Bridgewater, NJ before retiring. Mr. Sutton was a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh V.F.W. Post #2290 in Manville, NJ. He was a coach for the MYAL (Manville Youth Athletic League) Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball. Mr. Sutton was a season ticket holder and avid fan of the Somerset Patriots. He was also an avid fan of the Immaculata High School girls softball and basketball teams. Mr. Sutton was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manville, NJ. He was loved and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Charles Sutton and by a half sister Anna Diehl. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Doris Sutton of Manville, NJ, his dear son Robert D. Sutton and his wife Lauren of Hillsborough, NJ, his brothers Harold Sutton of Las Vegas, Nevada and Donald Sutton of Bremerton, Washington, and a sister Mary Louise Davis of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by his two cherished grandchildren Adam and Riley. The viewing will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2011 from 6 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. Viewing will also take place on Wednesday September 14, 2011 from 10 to 11 AM. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Ketusky Funeral Home and will be conducted by Pastor Greg Cercone of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial and a graveside service will take place on Thursday September 15, 2011 11:30 AM at Christ Church Cemetery in Fountain Springs, Pennsylvania.
