Rose Marie (Albert) Drabich, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 27, 2013, surrounded by her family. Rose was born on December 25, 1931, in New Brunswick and lived in Hillsborough for the past 48 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Victoria Albert. Rose Marie was predeceased by her husband, Michael M. Drabich in 1996 and by her sisters, Mary Karvelas, Ann Albert, Dorothy Albert and Louise Whitehorn. She is survived by her loving children, Michael and his wife, Joanna, of Hillsborough; Mark and his wife, Denise, of Alexandria; Lori George and her husband, Robert, of Whitehouse Station; and Lisa Soriano and her husband, Tracey, of Hillsborough; her 8 grandchildren: Mark Jr., Mary,, Alec, Michael Jr., Dante, Anneliese, Alexandra and Rose Marie; her brother John Albert and his wife Myrna, of North Brunswick, as well as many nieces and nephews. Rose graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1949 and her first job was as Quality Control Supervisor for Personal Products at Johnson & Johnson. After Rose raised her family she began to work for the Hillsborough Board of Education, where her most beloved vocation was driving special needs students. She became Transportation Coordinator before retiring in 1996. As an avid sports fan, Rose enjoyed playing golf, rooting for her N.Y. Giants and attending Rutgers Women's Basketball games as a season ticket holder for the past 25 years and a proud member of the Cagers Club official fan club. Rose Marie was a communicant of Mary Mother of God Church, as well as a trustee, Eucharistic Minister, Altar Rosary Society member and past president. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. The visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 3 to 8 PM at Mary Mother Of God Roman Catholic Church, 157 South Triangle Road, Hillsborough, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Church, with burial in St. Bernard Cemetery, in Bridgewater, NJ to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
