Rosina Scarpa, 90, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. She was born in Pollica, Italy the daughter of the late Nicola and Angela Russo Volpe. Mrs. Scarpa was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 18 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Scarpa was a great cook, enjoyed sewing and loved animals. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church (Christ the Redeemer Parish) in Manville, NJ. She is predeceased by her parents Nicola and Angela Russo Volpe and by a sister Nina Russo Volpe. She is survived by her loving husband Emilio Scarpa of Manville, NJ, her three dear children, daughters Maria Grazia Lancellotti and her husband Ugo of Hillsborough, NJ and Angela Scarpa - Friedman and her husband Bruce of Blacksburg, Virginia and her son Joseph Scarpa of California and by a sister Maria Grazia Russo Volpe of Naples, Italy. She is also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren Vanessa Lancellotti and her husband Alex Kornberg, Nicholas Scarpa, Matthew Lancellotti, Emilia Scarpa-Friedman, Hugh Scarpa - Friedman, Sal Scarpa - Friedman and Daniel Scarpa - Friedman. The viewing will be on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. The Funeral will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 8:00 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ.
