Stephen Verobie

Stephen Verobie, 96 died peacefully Thursday October 25, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dupont, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Verobie. He was a resident of Raritan, NJ for the past 52 years. Mr. Verobie served his Country Honorably in the Seabees in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a pipefitter at the Mack Truck Corporation in Bridgewater, NJ for many years. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid New York Mets Fan. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #1748 in Raritan, NJ. Mr. Verobie was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Verobie in 1999. He was also predeceased by three brothers Joseph Verobie, Michael Verobie and John Verobie and by two sisters Anna Verobie and Catherine Parlacoski. He is survived by his daughter Margaret Anne Rodgers and her husband Rory of Raritan, NJ and by his sisters Mary Michna of Elizabeth, NJ and Helen Varga and her husband John of Metuchen, NJ. He is also survived by three grandchildren Melissa Rodgers of Houston, Texas, Michelle Bryant and her husband Matt of Sanford, North Carolina and Megan Rodgers of Raritan, NJ and by two great grandchildren Julia Bryant and Lillian Bryant. The viewing will be on Sunday October 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. The Parastas Service will take place at 7:30 PM during the evening viewing. The Funeral will be on Monday October 29, 2012 8:30 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9:30 AM Divine Liturgy at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ.
