Thomas J. Altiere Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Thomas J. Altiere, 79, passed away peacefully at his sons home in Levittown, Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ the son of the late John and Florence Altiere. Mr. Altiere was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 53 years. He served his Country Honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Altiere worked as an equipment operator for PSE&G in Lawrenceville, NJ for many years before retiring. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Mr. Altiere enjoyed all types of car racing and especially the Indy 500. He also enjoyed trips with his family to New York City. He is predeceased by his parents and by his brother William Altiere. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Columbia Altiere of Manville, NJ, his sons John Altiere and his wife Audrey of Levittown, PA., and Thomas Altiere and his wife Catherine of Califon, NJ and by his daughter Julie Muehleisen and her husband Carl of New York, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Anthony, Alyssa and Keelee, Nicole, Gabrielle, Eric and Alex. The viewing will be on Wednesday August 12, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. The Funeral will be on Thursday August 13, 2015 8:00 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in South Bound Brook, NJ.
