Vincenzo "Vinny" D’Aniello 82 years old A sad day for all who knew him, Vincent D'Aniello "Vinny", an iconic part of Manville history passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday January 10, 2022. Born in Monte di Procida, Naples, Italy, Vincenzo emigrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1956. He met the love and partner of his life, his wife Rosaria, and together they created an amazing and devoted family. They moved to Manville, then Hillsborough, and ultimately opened Manville Pizza with his late brother, Domenic, in 1969. Manville Pizza embodied his drive, determination and vision to connect a community through his love of pizza, great hospitality and desire to serve everyone like they were at his dinner table. Vinny, an indispensable part of the fabric of Manville, offered the community a place to eat and connect with friends for over 50 years. He was larger than life, and will be dearly missed by his friends and family. He possessed a business acumen and natural ability that turned any venture into a great success. His business ventures were never driven by wealth or esteem, rather he sought to build community by serving all those around him. Vinny enjoyed the small pleasures of life: family, sharing time with friends at the pizzeria, spending time down the shore, taking his family on vacation, and Manville Pastry Shop’s jelly donuts. He is survived by his loving and devoted family: his wife of 54 years, Rosaria, who embodies love, grace and devotion and supported him in every endeavor; his son Jerry, and his wife Margarete; his daughter Susan, and her husband Douglas; his daughter Adele, and her husband Mark; and his son Anthony and his wife Melissa. He is survived also by his 10 grandchildren: Emily, Benjamin, Hayley, Sarah, Maria, Michael, Sophia, Vincenzo, Vanessa, and Anthony. His children and grandchildren will carry on his legacy, inspired by his devotion to family, work ethic, sense of humor, strong will, and generosity to church and charities. Vincenzo is predeceased by his parents, Assunta and Gennaro and siblings Dominic, Salvatore, Adele, Maria, Lucetina, his Inlaws Assunta and Antonio, his brother-in-law Vincenzo and sister-in-law Maria. A viewing will be held at Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville NJ 08835 on Friday January 14th between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 15th at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (Christ the Redeemer Parish) in Manville, NJ at 9:00 AM. Face Masks are to be worn for the visitation at the funeral home and during the Mass at the Church.
