John J. Kargol

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John J. Kargol , 68, of New Jersey, who left us on June 23, 2025. Born on February 22, 1957, to John S. Kargol and Susan Kargol. John lived a life defined by humility, dedication, and love. A man with a heart of gold, John was known for his quiet strength, endless generosity, and an unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. John shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Heidi VannAusdle Kargol, and took immense pride in his family, including his bonus daughter Tiffany Pula, and his cherished grandsons Brayden and Corlin Pula. John also leaves behind his loving sister Janice Kargol- Schuyler. Her children Kristen, Nicole, Victoria and Brad. Along with cherished friends and family. A master mechanic, John’s talents in his field were unmatched. His skills and work ethic earned him numerous awards and the respect of all who had the privilege of working with him. He was employed at Ethicon in Bridgewater, NJ, where his expertise and character left a lasting legacy. Outside of work, John found joy and peace in the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting—one of his proudest moments in 1990, was taking down the largest buck in New Jersey on record. John also had a great passion for Ham radios and CBs. He went by the handle John306. These moments brought him happiness and stories that will be retold for years to come. Above all, John was a loving and devoted husband, a proud grandfather, great uncle, a loyal friend, and had a steady presence to those fortunate enough to know him. As his grandsons said “Our Poppop can fix anything” He lived his life humbly, with great kindness, and always put others before himself. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his selflessness, strength, and love. Services will be held at Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville NJ on Monday June 30th 8:00am-9:30am. Graveside service to follow at Sacred Heart cemetery, Hillsborough NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor John by lending a hand to someone in need—just as he so often did. Rest in peace, John. Your love lives on in all of us.
