Julia A. Zelesnick

Hillsborough, NJ – Julia “Judy” Zelesnick, 80, entered eternal life on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, peacefully. Born and raised in Nanty Glo, PA, daughter of the late Louis Ruby, and Margaret (Szabonya) Ruby Zamboni, she moved to Manville, NJ shortly after marriage and resided there for ten years before settling to Hillsborough, NJ. Judy graduated from Nanty Glo-Vintondale High School, Nanty Glo, PA. Judy was married to David Zelesnick after they met at her cousin’s wedding. She first worked for RCA for five years in Watchung, NJ. Following, she worked for over 30 years at LA Services in Hillsborough, NJ, as vice president of finance, and retired after many wonderful years. The company was founded and built with her husband, David Zelesnick, and was known as a prominent corporate dining and vending business, which later merged with a national company. Judy was a faithful catholic and served as member of the Rosary Society at Mary, Mother of God Church, in Hillsborough, NJ. She had many lifelong friends and loved to decorate and entertain for the holidays. Christmas time was always special and celebrated with her family. At Judy’s, the home was surrounded by elegant and beautiful decorations, made from the heart. The delight and gratitude of her grandchildren abounded. Judy loved to bake and prepare meals for her family, and she was always willing to provide and care for everyone’s needs. She instilled loving family values for enjoying life gracefully, along with her Hungarian family heritage. Judy was an inspirational mother, grandmother, and wife. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 55 fifty-five years, David J. Zelesnick, with whom she joined hands in holy matrimony. She will be missed dearly by her three loving children, Christine Zelesnick Onderko and son-in-law Thomas of Hillsborough, NJ, David J. Zelesnick Jr and his wife Jennifer of Montgomery, NJ, Lynn Zelesnick Messner and son-in-law Eric, of Manville, NJ, a dear sister Patricia Younkin and husband James, of Bangor, PA, and six cherished and loving grandchildren, Michael, Natalie, Ella, Tyler, Blake, and Chloe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd, Manville, NJ, 08835, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. The Funeral will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 8:00 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (Christ the Redeemer Parish), 98 S 2nd Ave., Manville, NJ 08835. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
