Rita P. Ireland

Rita P. Ireland, 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 31, 2015 at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hillsborough, NJ with her loving family by her side. She was born in Bound Brook, NJ the daughter of the late Martin J. and Mary A. Zwolinski. Mrs. Ireland was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 41 years. She was formerly of East Millstone and Bound Brook, NJ. Mrs. Ireland had worked as a supervisor at the Physicians Exchange in New Brunswick, NJ for 33 years before retiring. Prior to that she had worked at Diehls Manufacturing in Manville, NJ during WWII and as a Manager at Camp Kilmer during the Korean War. She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Ireland was loved by all who knew her and she will be sadly missed. She was a member and a past publicist for the Manville Senior Citizens Organization and she also loved taking trips to the Casinos. Mrs. Ireland was a member of The Parish Community of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Millstone Borough, NJ. She was predeceased by 2 sons Morgan C. Ireland and Martin R. Day and by her brother Joseph Zwolinski and her sister Mae Noll. She is survived by her two daughters Jean Lazicky and her husband Eugene of East Millstone, NJ and Mary Lee Brisebois and her husband George of Manville, NJ, her 3 sons Robert A. Day of Willingboro, NJ, Bruce Ireland of Monroe Township, NJ and Gerard Ireland and his wife Joanne of Piscataway, NJ and by 2 daughter-in-laws Joan Day of Hillsborough, NJ and Margaret J. Ireland of Millstone, NJ. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as by many nieces and nephews. The viewing will be on Wednesday November 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512.
