Rosemary A. Onderko

Rosemary A. Onderko Age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 14th, 2024 at St. Joseph's Nursing home in Woodbridge, NJ. She was surrounded by her loving family and the Sisters from St. Joseph's. She was born on February 4th, 1937 in Hazelton, PA. The daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Borhi. She was a parishioner of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington, NJ. She was married to Thomas J. Onderko for 49 and 3/4 years until his death in 2008. She was preceded in death by her sister's Margaret Fegley, Agnes Kassick, and Teresa Borhi and her brother's Stephen and John Borhi. Her daughter, Janice Onderko, also preceded her in death in 2018. She is survived by two sons: Thomas S. Onderko and his wife Christine of Hillsborough, NJ, and James M. Onderko and his wife Jean of Delaware Township, NJ. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michael Onderko, Natalie Onderko, and Joshua Duffy along with many nieces and nephews. Rosemary had a passion for dancing which led her to meet Thomas, the love of her life. When Thomas first saw Rosemary at that dance, he told his cousins, "That is the woman I'm going to marry". They were together after that until his death. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren meant everything to her and she would do anything for them. We will miss her dearly. Rosemary's wake will be held on Monday, April 22nd from 5 to 8 pm at Ketusky Funeral home in Manville, NJ. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, April 23rd at 8 am at Ketusky's Funeral home. Celebration of the funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington, NJ at 10 am. Internment will follow in the parish cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Ketusky Funeral Home or in lieu of flowers, donations in Rosemary's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Woodbridge, NJ. Rosemary's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters and staff at St. Joseph's Nursing Home for their compassionate care during her time there. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
